WebDialogues

What's a WebDialogue?

A WebDialogue is an online communication tool that enables large or small groups of individuals, often including subject experts and policymakers, to learn about, discuss, and take action on issues. These dialogues are web-based asynchronous discussions usually taking place from 2-4 days. Unlike discussion groups, Webcasts, or other web tools, WebDialogues allow people to participate anytime during the multiple day agenda that best suits their interest and their schedule.

On October 29 - November 1, 2007, over 700 teachers, administrators, parents, students, policymakers, researchers, and interested members of the community registered for a statewide WebDialogue about closing the achievement gap. The agenda focused on the four key areas defined by the P-16 Council: Access, Climate/Culture, Expectations, and Strategies (ACES).
