Description: California charter schools are experiencing explosive expansion, roughly 20% growth for two years in a row. Last year, there were 740 Charter Schools representing approximately 274,000 students. This year there are 809 Charter Schools representing 341,000 students. This year's conference is organized into five Strands: Increasing Student Achievement; Improving Charter School Operations; Advocating for the Charter School Movement; Individualized Learning; Developing New Charter Schools. This conference provides an opportunity to network with more than 2,000 attendees, including charter school administrators, educators, developers, business managers and policy makers.
